Matthew 8:25

And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm125[/bible];[bible]iCori14[/bible];[bible]iSamu16-17[/bible]

Being left alone is painful.  There was a friend sharing about her experience when he was robbed. A man by his motorbike came up and grabbed her bag. Then something happened, both of them were quarreling each other. She shouted for a help, but there was none helping her. Being powerless and helpless left her painful memory; even it was more painful than robbery itself.

It also happens to Jesus’ disciples when their boat was covered with the waves while Jesus was asleep. Storm and waves hit them. They shivered and wet. The situation was critical so His disciples could not stop shouting, “God, save us. We perish.” [bible]Matth8:25[/bible].

Their instinct to survive turned into anxiety. While it was happening, Jesus was asleep and He as if did not care. However, after they shouted, Jesus was awake. He then rebuked the wind and lake. Then, everything kept calm [bible]Matth8:26[/bible].

In difficult situation, have you ever felt that God seems did not care? You are alike in crisis. And, God seemly does nothing. Moreover, if our close relatives or fellows seem being indifferent to us. Today, this story reminds us to believe and not to doubt with His love and power.

God is able to change storm and hard waves in your life into peace even when every one seemly does not care. God is always there to hear and help you. He never stops concerning you – DBS.

The wisest thing to be done on the verge of destruction is crying out to the Lord
