One day, my friend told me about his colleague who likes to spend his time and money at night club. He also says that his friend likes cheating. Wile smiling proudly, my friend says, “I think boys will be boys.”
These words come from English phrases. This statement is initially made to understand or to justify the behavior of a little kid who likes to jump from the roof to the swimming pool, or ride his/her bike in speeding while downing to the hill. If s/he did that delinquency, other people should understand it before and they do not need to be surprised. After he grown up, he or she becomes the expert of justifying something.
Some people still do their bad behaviors while easily saying, “You may not agree to this thing, but here we are.” Have we already forgotten that there is a line between right and wrong?
Genesis 6:5 (NIV) states, LORD saw how bad the people on earth, and all their thoughts are always evil.
Men who use the excuse "boys will be boys" to justify some bad behaviours such as cheating, gambling, drinking, watching pornography, or riotous show that he is not yet mature. But not only that, it also signifies that man has no authority yet in his life. Such men as untrustworthy.
Fortunately, God has given us a guide so that we no longer get lost in lust. God actually understands the desire of every man. However, there are loads and gloom when we do any pleasures which are out of the authority of God. Instead, a man who turned around and look for joy in a honored God’s way will has endless opportunities, without any guilts and sin.
