Proverbs 22:7

The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm115[/bible];[bible]iipet2[/bible];[bible]Ezeki36-37[/bible]

Debt can make us anxious and we hope to pay it off as soon as possible though it is difficult since we have so many things to be more prioritized. There are few debts that we know; at least two of them are the most common; money and gratitude. Those debts ‘sue’ us to be paid off.

When we have a debt, it means that we have been a slave to the lender. As a slave, sometimes we have our rights taken, whether they are our property, peace so that violence might happen to us, anxiety, and even it could ruin our rest. All things make us as its slave.

However, when I read this verse, I found that debt is not always about money and so are poor and rich. Having debt and credit are not always about money or gratitude. But they might be giving the forgiveness, helping for others, knowledge and then we may eventually share these to others.

Therefore, it is important for us to be rich and not vice versa; being the lender and not the borrower? So, how to turn the lender into the borrower? The key is only one, giving.

By giving, it enables us to say enough so that we may share it to someone else. By giving, it enables us to allocate a little of what we have to others. Even it makes people grateful in every their situation. Our gratitude make our gift as blessing and from it, we will be rich in every thing.

In order to be rich, we should have gratitude and a sense of giving
