Preparing for The Heritage

10982 Samuel 7:12-13
When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your fathers, I will rise up your offspring after you, who shall come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

In the Old Testament, David had a dream to build a temple in which God's people can worship. David prepared everything from bringing solid wood from Lebanon, with the abundant wealth like gold, and a variety of precious stones. But God did not allow David to build it. Instead, the Lord commanded Solomon, son of David who built the temple.
You may have big dreams like David, even its dream may come from God, a plan that God has placed in our hearts. But sometimes the dream is far greater than what can be achieved. Do not be surprised, but the Lord has prepared for us to be pioneers who paved the way towards that dream which will be completed by our grandchildren.
Sometimes God's great plan and great reach more than one generation. Like David, his desire to build the temple was completed by Solomon. Today we might like David's, but do not despair. Keep doing the best. God is still in control. Additionally we have to continue to sow the seeds of faith and a life of excellence that can be followed by the next generation. In His wonderful time the fruit of our hard work will be seen.
From now on, live your life with a decision that we would leave a valuable legacy for future generations. Say: I will leave a strong legacy of integrity, the victory in faith and one day I will leave those whom I love with the blessings of God which are timeless.
Today I'm making a better life not only for my sons, but to my unborn great-grandchild.
