I'll Be The Light

I’ll Be The Light merupakan salah satu judul lagu yang terdapat di dalam album teranyar dari Colton Dixon yang bertajuk A Messenger : Expanded Edition. Lagu yang ditulis langsung oleh sang penyanyi bersama Zac Maloy ini terdengar enak sekali di telinga.

Dentingan keyboard yang mengawali lagu begitu menyatu saat hentakan bunyi drum, betotan bass, dan raungan gitar elektrik turut mengiringi. Masing-masing instrumen memberikan keindahan ke dalamnya.

Saya harus mengacungi jempol penghayatan Colton Dixon saat menyanyikan lagu yang ikut diciptakannya ini. Ia sungguh terasa tidak sekedar melagukan, tetapi ia benar-benar seperti sedang menyuarakan sebuah pesan kepada pendengar lagu tersebut.

Harus saya akui juga pesan lagu dari I’ll Be The Light sangat bagus karena ini mengenai janji Tuhan bahwa Dia sungguh akan menuntun kehidupan manusia saat manusia itu bersedia untuk dituntun oleh-Nya.  

Bagi saya, lagu I’ll Be The Light adalah lagu yang tepat didengar saat kita mulai ragu pada penyertaan Tuhan dan direkomendasikan kepada orang lain yang hidupnya sedang di luar Tuhan.
