Isaiah
40:9
O Zion, You who bring good
tidings, Get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, You who bring good
tidings, Lift up your voice with strength, Lift it up, be not afraid; Say to
the cities of Judah, "Behold your God!"

What is praise? To praise is to
tell others positive things with a pure heart, without any motive. Praise
emerges when you love what others say and do.
When you give someone praise,
your face must be so radiant. And so it is when you praise the Lord. To praise
the Lord is to extol Him or to be grateful for His kindness in your life. Your
face won’t look sad when you praise the Lord, because such praises doesn’t come
from the heart. When your heart praises God, others can see it through your
face.
Nehemiah
8:6 And Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God. Then all the people answered,
"Amen, Amen!" while lifting up their hands. And they bowed their
heads and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.
That is an expression God
desires when His people praises Him—lifting their hands on Him. It could
express how thankful you are to God.
Psalm
34:1 A Psalm of David when he pretended madness before Abimelech, who drove him
away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall
continually be in my mouth.
Just like David, with his
psalms, let you praise Him not only during service but also continually. Let
your praise be in your mouth, in your everyday’s life. When you praise God
because He is Father who always provide your needs, it can be seen when you
have struggle. So, though you have financial problems, you can trust Him who
provides everything, and you don’t need to worry. On the contrary, you can
praise Him in your heart eagerly. Let us please God by praising Him with a joyful
heart.
Isaiah
42:10 Sing to the LORD a new song, And His praise from the ends of the earth,
You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, You coastlands and you
inhabitants of them!
Regardless
of what you are going through, just say, “Bless the Lord, O my soul!” This will
please God.
