How do you surrender yourself
to God? Do you surrender or give up? Do you know the difference between
surrendering and giving up? When you surrender, you still do your part. You give
Him invisible part and build your own faith. However, when you give up, you do
nothing and you lose faith.
Before Jesus was crucified, He
gathered with His disciples and said, "Father, if it is Your will, take
this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done."
(Luke 22:42)
How did Jesus surrender Himself
to Father? He did His own task, which was redeeming us. This is what Jesus
teaches us. He wants you fully surrender you whole life to His hands. One of
the characteristics of children of God who surrender is they give Him full authority
of their lives. When you don’t get what you heart desires, you can say, “It is
not my will, God, but Yours.” This is a declaration of surrendering to God.
Believe that what you’re going
through is a process which God brings you through it, so that you will receive
His beautiful plan. It is not easy to go through this process. Like the clay in
the hands of a potter, you will be his handiwork; being broken to later be
perfectly molded.
God
can work with those who are willing to be molded.
