Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm25[/bible];[bible]Matth25[/bible];[bible]Genes49-50[/bible]

An article in America once reviewed an athlete named Emmitt Smith, a famous professional football player in 1990’s until 2000. He is one of the best football players during the history of National Football League (NFL).

Emmitt Smith had been playing football since he studied in the university by his earnings millions of dollars each year. The article tells about his parents who asking him not to build his own house before he graduated. Though he had desire on it, Smith kept doing what his parents asked. He finished his study and built a house from his money.

What Smith has done is one of his tributes to his parents.  Respecting our parents is one of God’s commandments. It is not only done when we were young, but we do it forever. As we were a child, we respected and obeyed them. When we are grown up, we show our tribute by asking them some advise, having a good relationship with them, and taking care of them until they are old.

We do not have any expired date to respect our parents. When we are respecting them, God will bless us, bonuses like long live and His favor (Deuteronomy 5:16). How is your relationship with them today? Are you still living with them? If not, how often you call or visit them? Now, find a way to show them how much your love is and to declare that you really respect and love them.

Let us respect and love our parents unconditionally.
