Judges 6:16

And the Lord said to him, “But I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man.”

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Prove18[/bible];[bible]Ephes1[/bible];[bible]Eccle1-2[/bible]

One day, people of God have to get away with the grasp of Midian. God needs someone who can lead His army facing the enemies. Then He chose Gideon. Gideon is a correct man because God was with him and he was a bold valiant hero ([bible]Judge6:12[/bible]).

However, what is his respond? He seems questioning why God let that happened to Israel. Gideon is sure that he can not able to be a leader to against his enemies.  When we read this following story in Judges 6, we find that that Gideon actually felt fear and anxious.

Then what does God do? Through God’s angel, he continues to make Gideon sure. ([bible]Judge6:14,16[/bible]) And the Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours and save Israel from the hand of Midian; do not I send you?” And he said to him, “Please, Lord, how can I save Israel? Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father's house.”  And the Lord said to him, “But I will be with you, and you shall strike the Midianites as one man.” His courage appears when he realizes that God is faithful and guides him in his fear tenderly.

Fear is an opportunity; an opportunity to experience God’s power and to see that He can do all things that seems impossible for us to do or imagine.

The boldness that comes from God is supernatural and it does not come from our own ability.
