by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire
to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the
pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

When God led the Israelites in
the wilderness for 40 years, wasn’t God always with them? What was the sign
that God being with them? The sign God was with the Israelites was the pillar
of fire and the pillar of cloud. In the afternoon, God gave the pillar of cloud
to lighten their path. However, at night, God gave them the pillar of fire.
How important is God in your
life? Do you experience His help when you are in the wilderness? Remember that
you have to bear the fruits; nevertheless God is much more interested in your
journey or process in the wilderness.
Why? It’s because when you can
go through the process and involve God in it, you can bear good fruits. God
wants you to be like pure gold. Gold is made through great processes, being
broken and burnt. Today’s generation love things that come instantly.
Meanwhile, God does not like it. He loves process. When God created human, God
created animals and plants first—there was a process. And so does it when God
asked Noah to build an ark on the mountain; it took years of process. But can
you see God’s guarantee for those who believe in Him? Noah and his whole family
and his cattle were saved by God; all of them entered the ark. God can make a
miracle when you are in the wilderness.
We live in very fast world and
it might affect you to like instant process as well. Believe that when God put
you in the wilderness, He has provided amazing blessing after you finished the
process. You might be in the wilderness right now. The wilderness could be your
