He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
A farmer had a weathercock in his barns. The weathercock was quite different. Instead of a cock, this weathercock had lettering “God is love”. Later, his friends asked him the reason why he put the lettering. This farmer replied, “This intends to remind myself that wherever the wind blows, God is love.”
When the “south wind” blows gently and brings rain of blessing, God is love. It is written in James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above”.
When the cold “north wind” of temptation blows you, God is love. It is written in Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
When the strong “west wind” blows for giving punishment, God is love. It is explained in Hebrews 12:6 “For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.”
Though the “east wind” might threaten your possesions, God is love. “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
Today you probably feel discouraged and desperate. If so, keep in mind that you are under His control. God controls anything you are going through right now, and remember that His plans are always the best.
It is very true that wherever the wind blows, God is love.
