Proverbs 15:22

Without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established.

In the era of individualists, selfishness becomes more visible. Whether in towns or cities, people compete with each other to be prominent. They become more proud of themselves as they can achieve something with their own efforts. And the worse is, advices from the close ones are ignored by them.

Today’s situation is getting awful. If we run aground, then we will imitate the lifestyle of the unbelievers. Thus, today’s verse reminds us about how important listening to people’s advice is.

The writer of the Proverbs 15 tells us that without counsel, plans go awry, but in the multitude of counselors they are established. What does this mean? This means that it’s way better to listen to advice from those who are capable or our friends than to rely on our own understanding. Why? Because when we listen to counsel from the close ones, the success becomes our portion.

After all, there must be reasons why those people are around you. God must have prepared the beautiful plan for you through their presence.

You will never be disappointed listening to advice from people whom God places surround you.
