At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision

The first day in 2014, what do you feel? What dreams have not come true yet? What kind of life that you want to achieve? How do you feel in this New Year? What about the economy, health, and your job? What about your family and your nation?
Convey all your requests to God. Not only any requests which is about us, because God has guaranteed, hasn’t He? That He will give you a future that is full of hope. However, tell your expectations for the family, the people around you, for your nation. Especially in this year, Indonesia will hold new presidential elections.
Put everything on the the right portion and place. If we were more selfish in last year, in this year let's get better. Being concern to the nation where we live in, to the environment, and other people's suffering.
Look what happened when Daniel wholeheartedly conveyed his requests to God. The angel of Gabriel came to him and said, "When you start to deliver the petition came out a word, then I came to tell you, for you are greatly beloved..."
Being loved ones would have to love firstly. Daniel's love for his people is so great; his prayer was answered as well as the presence of Gabriel. God immediately sent a messenger to inform him of his sight and word. Begin to put our portion before the interests of others.
By putting our portion far behind other people interests or even our nation, then selfishness is increasingly eroded. We are getting small, the greater Lord in our lives. He is glorified and others can see it in our lives.
