Matthew 26:28

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm30[/bible];[bible]Phili2[/bible];[bible]00Job40-41[/bible]

In a letter to his son Eduard, Albert Einstein gave a simple advice, "Life is like riding a bicycle. In order to keep it balance, you must keep moving forward." The advice from a physicist is very wise and practical.

That wise advice can be also applied by us as a Christian. Many believers can continue to move forward despite facing the pain and temptation. But when they run into a moral downfall, they lost balance and could not get up again. Remorse and felt unworthy of God's forgiveness makes them stay in their downfall. They do not want to get up and move forward again.

The Bible gives us many examples of people who had serious failures. Abraham lied to Pharaoh about Sarah, his wife (Genesis 12:11-17). Jacob lied to his father and took away the birthright of Esau (Genesis 27:18-29). Moses disobeyed God by striking the rock when only asked to spell some words (Numbers 20:7-12). Behind their failures, we are told that :" ...their faith have given them a good witness." (Hebrews 11:39b).

What make those characters of the Bible were still written that their lives be a good witness? They grabbed the outstretched hand of God that gave them forgiveness and a second chance to get back up and move forward to follow God's plan.

In the last days of 2013, there are a variety of failures that we experience in life. Let's emulate the heroes of faith in the Bible, we grab God 's outstretched hand and rise up to fulfill God's plan.

In the Lord, there is always a second chance to get up and to start again. Never give up on life because God never gave up on us.
