Ephesians 2:4-5

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm109[/bible];[bible]ipete1[/bible];[bible]Ezeki23-24[/bible]

According to this world, we should do many good things in order to get into the kingdom of heaven or the eternal salvation. We have to gather virtues as many as possible, so that when an angel weighs it; our virtues are heavier than our sins.

As a sinner, how much virtues we must gather to pay our sins? We are never able to pay it! The Bible affirms that, “Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began” (2 Timothy 1:9)

It is very profound that salvation is a grace, the merely God’s grace, not ours. We do not have other way to get His grace unless believing Him as the Lord and the Savior.

As a sinner, we should be responsible to sustain our sins. The sinner is only sued to have faith in Jesus so that the salvation shall be applicable for him, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (Romans 10:9)

By His merely grace, we, as the sinners, receive what we should not get; the salvation. For that, we are not supposed to boast ourselves.  Otherwise, we do our duties committing any good things.
