14861 Samuel 3:10
The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”

When Samuel was young, the words of God and visions rarely happened. So, it was reasonable if Samuel thought he was called by Eli and not God, the priest that raised him up. It needs 4 times for Samuel to be called so he eventually knew his calling.
Samuel started to open his heart and listened what God said upon him.God spoke to him about the condition of Eli’s family for the first time. Since that time, God was be with him and made everything success, even in verse 20 said that all Israel people knew that God lifted Samuel as a prophet .
We try to imagine how if he did not believe God eventhough he lived in a house of God. He wouldn’t believe to Eli, did not hear God’s voice and was not lifted as a prophet. One of these possibilities may happen.
Let take this story as a reflection in our lives. We are often like Samuel whom do not understand what is God’s desire in us. Sometimes we are not sensitive and waste the chance to be used by God.
However we can be His tool extraordinarily. It can happen outside of common sense and illogically if only we are willing to hear His voice and trust Him wholeheartedly. We can be the blessing for other people and we will have meaningful lives.
Listen God’s voice and be a believer. Do not stop. Keep growing, our faith will bring us to His great works explicitly.
