True Story: Cynthia Cheated Due to Her Vengeance

Little Cynthia likes playing with her Teddy Bear. Little Cynthia also often saw her mommy playing with her “toys”. “Why is mommy hugging her boss?” asked Cynthia. Although the husband saw her affair, Cynthia’s mother didn’t care. Therefore, her father left them, leaving Cynthia, who had never seen him since then.
Her mother became even freer until she realized that her boyfriend was violent. “My step father liked to kick and punch people,” said Cynthia telling her story. “That’s why I was determined that I would never let him treat me the same way. That was what changed me 100%.”
As she grew up, Cynthia decided to date guys who were quieter. She then met a guy who was calm and quiet in a café. The waiter introduced her to the guy and they immediately got along.
After they were dating, they “crossed the line” so Cynthia got pregnant. “You’re really pregnant? Are you ready to have your own family?” asked Paulus, Cynthia’s boyfriend that got her pregnant, as well as her husband at the present. Then, they got married.
Don’t think that the problem finished when they got married. A single family can have thousands of problems. For Cynthia’s case, it started when she didn’t want to do the chores using her nausea as the reason. Therefore, she was really happy when her husband was willing to do it for her.
One day Cynthia found a match box inside her husband’s bag. Her husband was not a smoker so why a match box was there? She opened the box and found a piece of paper with a gymnastic schedule. The first thing that came into her mind was that her husband was having an affair.
She came to her husband and asked about the phone number in the paper. It was a brief silence when her husband finally said, “Yes, Honey. I am having an affair…”
“The thing that got me attracted to that woman was that she was better at the time. A wife’s duty is to take care of her husband, but Cynthia did not. So I looked for other ‘possibilities’. She loved me and cared about me…” said Paulus.
“It hurt so much because I was determined that my marriage was not gonna be like my parents’ but it happened instead…” said Cynthia.
“After the incident, Paulus really repented and he was no having any affair. Even after their child was born, Paulus turned to God and atoned for her sins. He even asked Cynthia to pray with him.
“Yet everything was not finished for me. I still remembered everything that my husband had done and every time I saw him, the hatred came up. I thought that I had to get revenge for what he had done to me, and I was gonna do it worse.”
Ten years later, the chance came up. Cynthia, who had worked and had her own money started to treat herself and became more beautiful. She had the chance to meet people, and she got very close to one of her colleagues.
Cynthia purposely introduced them when she wanted to get her husband’s permission to go to dinner with the man. Cynthia had hoped that the two men would get into a big fight because of her. Yet it didn’t happen and it upset her.
“Because I placed my hope in God. My heart asked Him to change my wife so she became a good wife for me and a good mother for our child,” said the husband.
Cynthia once even purposely asked her husband to drive her to meet her boyfriend, “I wanted to see his reaction when he found out that it was a different man than the one beforem,” said Cynthia. It turned out that Paulus was not angry.
Cynthia even slept with the boyfriend that night. After that incident, Cynthia felt like she was reminded, “I realized that I was really messed up. I had been trying to hurt my husband. Maybe God was trying to move my heart to forgive my husband at the time. He always prayed for me, he always forgave me, so why didn’t I forgive him?” said Cynthia explaining.
“God, I want to start over and live a new life. I realize I was wrong,” prayed Cynthia to God.
In order to change, Cynthia quit her job and stopped contacting all of her boyfriends, “I tried to approach my husband. I thought that it was time to apologize to him.”
When the forgiveness was given to her, Cynthia was very relieved. They both then asked for God’s forgiveness, and started over.
“It was amazing. She became more gentle and stopped being rude to me. I couldn’t stop her but God could. It really happened,” said Paulus.
“I totally understand that grudge does not change anything. Forgiveness is a good thing and if God really does forgive us, why can’t we forgive others?”
Now Cynthia is willing to do all the chores that she used to refuse. That answered Paulus’ needs of a good wife and they live in harmony. Remember, vengeance does not change anything. It worsen things instead. So stop having grudge and start forgiving.
