The story about dedication once occurred in China. A 2nd grade student has saved two lives from the rubble caused by the earthquake. His name is Lin Hao. He was a chairman of the class of 30 students. When an earthquake occurred, the entire school building collapsed. When everyone was trying to save themselves, Lin Hao saved his friends. With great courage, he was risking his life. The boy tried to release his two friends who were caught between the ruins of collapsed buildings. And when asked why he would risk his life for his friend's parents, Lin Hao said, "I am the head of the class and I must be responsible for my friends."

Lin Hao’s answer is the interesting part of this story. It could be different is the answer doesn’t come from a 7-year-old boy. This child has a dedication or high consecration in carrying out his duties and responsibilities. It’s amazing, isn’t it? Have we done the same thing like Lin Hao did?

Being highly dedicated is absolutely necessary for every person who with a task entrusted to him. With dedication, one will have encouragement to carry out his duties, as has been done by Lin Hao. By saving the lives of two friends, Lin Hao was performing his duties as head of the class. His dedication made Lin Hao ignored his physical limitations.

In this world, we are more than just practicing a profession in accordance with our expertise. Being a head of the family, housewives, and children is a task that must be performed with high dedication. First of all, there is a special and noble task given directly by God to each of us who believe, that is spreading the good news. So, do your tasks with devotion, without expecting something in return. Thus, the rewards we’ll receive will not be limited by the sheet of paper called "money", because just and faithful God will give you something more than that to us for our faithfulness and responsibilities.
