Bible Reading for a Year [bible]psalm54[/bible]; [bible]0mark4[/bible]; [bible]isaia61-62[/bible]

When God wants to use somebody, He will discipline and shape him so that he is well-prepared. God disciplined Moses for about forty years in the amazing training located in the house of Egypt. But it turned out that the training was not sufficient to him. Then Moses was brought to the land of Midian for an advanced training.

As Moses has grown up, one day he found an Egyptian hit a Hebrew. To him, Hebrews were all his brothers. So he already knew that he was Hebrew, though he was raised in Egypt. And at that very moment he killed the Egyptian when no-one was around, for he knew the consequence in case his action became known.

So why did Moses kill the Egyptian? Stephen said that Moses thought that God was using him to rescue his brothers, even though they might not understand [bible]0acts7:25[/bible]. At that moment Moses was having pride in his heart for being used by God, and he thought he deserved to put anyone’s life in danger. The training in the house of Egypt was not sufficient to shape Moses to be the man He wanted to. That’s why He needed to re-discipline him for forty years in the land of Midian.

God disciplines and shapes those whom He has chosen to be His servants. Not only their knowledge, but He also shapes their humility and meekness. So, do not complain when God disciplines us in ways and at times we don’t like. God wants to use us even more.

Anyone who has been chosen and sent will be disciplined by God through bad and good experiences.
