Hebrews 10:23

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

Bible Reading for a Year [bible]psalm38[/bible]; [bible]itimo2[/bible]; [bible]isaia29-30[/bible]

In a dark room, there were four candles lit up and shone the whole room. Breaking the silence, the first candle said, “I am love, but many people are blinded by love, so I’d rather die.” The second candle said, “I am peace, but unfortunately there is no more peace in this world.” Then the second candle went out. The third candle said, “I am affection, but people kill each other today.” Then this candle went out.

A few moments later, a child entered the room. He looked confused and then began to cry. “Why do these candles go out? I am afraid,” he sobbed. Hearing the cry, the fourth candle said, “Do not be scared. I am hope. As long as you have hope, those three candles will burn again.” And shortly after that, the three candles burnt again and the child stopped crying.

This story reminds us of our own life experience, as there is so much chaos in this world that makes us believe there is no hope anymore. However, God is there to bring light and hope. As long as we do believe and not lose hope, God has promised that He is the unbroken hope for hope does not disappoint (Romans 5:5)

Even though many people lose love and affection of each other, and though there is hostility leading to war, we have to believe that our hope and loyalty towards God will work.  Ask and hope for great things through your prayer, then He will incline His ear and stretch out His hand to help you.

Hope is not something that you can see, but something that you wish for.
