Romans 12:9

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

Bible Reading for a Year [bible]psalm145[/bible]; [bible]0john5[/bible]; [bible]iisam17-18[/bible]

Every time I watch the award ceremony such as Grammy, Academy Award, or Indonesia’s Film Festival, I often see the winners say thanks to those who they consider have helped them and brought them to be the best or the most favorite in among the nominees. Without intention to find out whether they say thanks sincerely or not, but the point is they appreciate others.

In our own life, beside God, actually there are some people who always bring positive impact for us. One of which is our best friend.

No matter what weaknesses they have, of course our best friends contribute in our life. Otherwise we will not consider them as the closest people of our own.

Knowing what they do, have we given special credit to our best friends? Have we given them little gift or directly said with sincerity how we are so grateful for their presence?

Today’s verse reminds us that love should be without hypocrisy. Later, also in that verse, it says we should cling to what is good. What does it mean? It simply means that we should show our love through kindness.

If your best friends are really special to you, then treat them with special way. Give them surprise. If the surprise is given with sincerity, it will please them even though it is simple, and in the end it will affect your relationship with each other.

A special surprise makes your best friends feel special.
