Proverbs 4:6

Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you.

The most unmistakable source of godly wisdom is the Bible. No questions or life problems that cannot be answered by the Word of God. His fundamentals, character, attitude, and every conversation written here can be applied in every aspect of human’s life.

Of course we sometimes go through moments when we cannot respond well. We learn that the incident may be caused by two possibilities—whether we do not know the biblical principles or know but decide to ignore or break them. In order to be familiar with God’s standard, we have to dig into the truth of God’s Word and practice in real life.

For example, when we work at office and one of our colleagues attack us verbally with his annoying statement, we naturally want to be angry. However, Luke 6:27-29 asks us to do the different one, that is “love those who hate us”. Instead of being angry and retaliating, we should gently respond, “Is there anything you want to share me? Thank you for telling me how you feel.” Smile and leave happily.

It is not enough for us to know the God’s word, but we have to put the word into practice in our daily life so that it becomes rhema. It will mould us to be like Christ’s image.

We get wisdom not only from memorizing the God’s Word, but also from put in into practice.
