Welcoming the year of 2014, what is the most thing we need? The answer is not really different to what the most thing we need in this year is. Yup, the answer is God’s favor. Without Him, all things we did is only in vain.
Another name of Jesus is Emmanuel, which means God is with us. How important is this meaning for us?
God firstly told Isaiah that the Savior of this world would be named Emmanuel ([bible]Isaia7:14[/bible]). Through its meaning, God wanted to make the people of Israel calm down at that time. Hundred years later for the second time, God told Joseph that his future son from Maria would be named Emmanuel. God wants His people know that when anything happens, no matter what it is, Gos is with us.
God’s ability is never increasing. Day after days, His power is still same. The Lord Jesus used to soothe the storm which made His disciples worried on a boat and now He is able to soothe the storm in your life, whatever it is.
Where ever Jesus is, everything will be better.
