Isaiah 29:13

Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men

Bible Reading for A Year:[bible]Psalm11[/bible];[bible]Revel17[/bible];[bible]Malac1-2[/bible]

There is a story about a mother who was shopping for Christmas. She was frantically trying to get what she needed. She shoped with her son, but suddenly she lost her child. In a panic she began trying to find her son until she found the child who was sticking his nose against the shop window while seeing the miniature of baby Jesus.

The boy said to his mother, "Mom! See, that is Jesus in a manger!"

Yet another mother reacted, "Let's go, we do not have time for that."

That’s right. That is the problem that we face every year by the time of Christmas. We are so busy celebrating Christmas, but we forget that all the bustles and celebration that we do is about Christ. It means that we lose God in the midst of the celebration.

Today many people are busy with Christmas trees, presents, Santa Claus and Rudolf the Red Nosed Reinder. But without Christ, everything we do at Christmas would be meaningless.

We can forget the Christmas tree, Santa Claus, or anything else, but we must not forget the Christ in Christmas celebrations. If we forget Him, then our worship is just in vain, only a ceremony and ritual. Christmas is not about gifts, not about celebration, but about the presence of Christ in the life of human rescue missions. Let us make Christ the center of our Christmas celebration.

Without Christ, Christmas celebration, no matter how festive it is, is only an empty and useless ritual.
