Many years ago, I was included as the laziest man making a resolution by the end of year. It is not because I have no dream or something that I would like to reach, but it’s because I am too afraid of failure. I am afraid that all my plans that are written will give me a burden and finally there is none that I could reach until the next year is over.
However, there is verse in God’s word that I read on December 2002 and it became a golden verse of my devotional that really changed my life. It is said that ‘How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who fear You.” The word of ‘store’ in that statement is raising my hope and my faith. Why? As I realize that God has already provided His goodness which I will be getting in the next future.
I convince when I write down my resolutions, God guides me when I am writing it in my private agenda so what I wrote would not get away from the plans that He had already prepared for me.
Maybe, there is one of you who have fear as I was. Not writing all those things just because of failure. However, I want to tell you that God has provided the good thing for you.
In order to get this, you just need to connect yourself to Him in prayer. You just need to ask His specific promises for you. Believe, He must tell it to you. When you get it, write down all of those in a book that you will open for the coming year.
God is good for each of us!
Do not afraid of your future as God has planned and knitted it for you!
