Superyouth

Ignasius Obinizaro Gea, a 13-year-old teenager from Lolomboli Village, South Gunungsitoli, Nias Island, is an eighth-grader of Junior High School.

In his daily life, he is a lazy child and it is difficult to obey his parents. For example, when he is asked to do homework, he often does not do it. At school, moreover, he admits that he is too lazy to study.

Ignasius also has a habit of getting up late was also the reason his parents often scolded him. He didn't even care if his mother had to cry over his bad attitude.

At first, he thought not to care because he felt that all this time his parents had been favoritism and liked to compare himself with the neighbor's children.

'I just don't care, I even hate my parents because I'm often compared to the neighbor's children who are diligent and always like that,' explained Ignatius.

Feeling forced, Ignasius was often angry and rebelled against his parents. This makes him not feel at home.

However, when he had the opportunity to watch the Superyouth show entitled 'The Love of Differentiated Parents' held by the computer education service of Cahaya Bagi Negeri Indonesia in Nias, Ignasius' life was completely changed.

This show gave him a new understanding that there are no parents who do not love their children. Ignasius began to think that what his parents did might be their way of encouraging their children to become better, independent, and successful individuals in the future.

He also realized that all this time he had misjudged his parents. The only reason he was treated this way by his parents was simply because of his laziness and disobedience.

'This show indirectly enlightens me that parents really love their children and also this show made me realize that all this time I had wrongly judged my parents,' he said.

Finally, the son of the couple Feber Jaya Gea and Isana Ziliwu took a commitment to change. He even asked forgiveness from God and to his parents.

'Thank God my parents have forgiven me. I am no longer lazy and what my parents tell me to do is try to do it well,' he explained.

From being lazy before, now Ignasius has become a diligent and obedient child. He himself no longer hesitates to open up to his parents and learn to listen to the advice they convey.

Ignasius is grateful that through Superyouth shows, he can grow into a better person.
