A True Story of a Woman Who Was Fooled by Cheating Husband

Anaria Hutabarat met her future husband in the office for the first time. After a few dating, Ana considered this man as a father that she’s been looking for all this time since Ana had no father in her life. Ana thought that this man was very kind; moreover, she was brought to the man’s family, who welcomed her very warmly. However, they turned out to have a secret.

The man’s family asked Ana to marry him, whereas Ana had been already engaged to someone else. However, because the man was so kind, they got married two weeks later.

But the marriage was broken because of the bad news that Ana got. It turned out that her husband, Yopie, had another wife. “My heart was broken. I was mad. I was resentful. Even when my husband asked for intimacy, I refused it. There’s no more love between us. My mother-in-law’s persuasion enabled me to accept my husband, until our second child was born,” Ana said.

After her mother-in-law passed away, her husband revealed the truth. “Now that my mother has gone, so this is the end of our marriage, okay?” her husband said, as mimicked by Ana. Later, they were separated. However, Ana always said to the children that their father was going to sea. In spite of the terrible situation, Ana showed her children that their needs were supplied well, and Ana let the children have fun so that they did not feel losing the father figure. Ana always showed her husband as a good man.

Long time no see, Ana had news that her husband went to hospital because of liver disease. But Ana was kicked out. “Why did it happen?” Ana asked herself in her heart.

“Listen to me. For so many hurts I have experienced, you will experience the more hurtful ones. You have to repent. If you don’t repent, you will get the more hurtful that this,” Ana replied Yopie. She later went home.

Then, Ana took counsel for healing her heart. She told all the events, from the marriage to the separation. “Nobody can help me. God, only You can help me,” Ana prayed.

“I prayed to God to strengthen me, enable me to forgive. But it took five years until I was able to totally forgive. I tried to forgive the bad words he had spoken to me.”

Eighteen years later, Ana heard news from her child that her husband got cancer. At that point, her husband asked for forgiveness to Lord Jesus for hurting his wife and two daughters. At that time, they prayed and sang a song, ‘El Shaddai’.

While singing that song, the husband, who formerly was unable to speak, suddenly produced a voice, singing ‘El Shaddai…El Shaddai’. Her husband then died.

“I was so grateful that God strengthen me; without God’s guidance, I was not so strong. I was able to forgive, serve my husband, until Lord called him home in the good situation,” Ana concluded.
