Having Much Debt, Remilan Tuheteru Attempted Suicide

Having been so poor since he was a child made Remilan Tuheteru was obsessed with wealth. Slowly but surely, the ambition was coming true. His skill in solving big crisis led him to the promotion by his company leader, and Remilan would become a manager.

Having so much money made Remilan was infatuated. Even though he already had a wife and children, he loved to go on the spree with his colleagues. He had spent so much money to treat those who he considered as “friends”.

One day, he had surprising news from his company leader. The promotion that he used to promise him, was cancelled. Being so disappointed, he decided to resign and start an entrepreneurship.

As a beginner entrepreneur, Remilan often went to the work site and oversee his business. Rather than getting so much profit, he got so many deficits until he was in debt and had to make a deal with creditor. He could not pay off debts.  

Being so confused with the circumstances, he planned to suicide by drinking pesticide. While he was about to drink, he heard people laughing. It led him to take the Bible near him.

After praying, he opened and read the Bible on his hands. He found a verse, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” The verse really encouraged him and made him cancel the suicide.

The next day, he attended a service for men. In the meeting, he got so many things that changed his paradigm. Not only changing of paradigm, he also experienced born-again. He decided to accept the Lord personally in his heart.

After resolving to live in God and reconciled with his wife and children, Remilan witnessed the door of God’s blessings abundantly in his life. Shortly after that, the debts were paid off.

“I can never be able to analyze or determine my own life according to my own opinion (anymore). I want to surrender everything to Jesus, I always believe that every path He leads me in is the best. Therefore, I surrender my life to Jesus and I believe it one hundred percent,” he concluded.
