According to Isaiah, the effects of truth are peace and quiet forever.  Do you want to get peace in life? One thing that we should do is pursuing the truth instead frauds.

And the work of righteousness will be peace; and the effect of an upright rule will be to take away fear for ever. (Isaiah 32:17)
