Understanding Self-Image

Self-confidence is convincing one’s self of his/her own ability and judgment in carrying out a task and choosing an effective approach. To Sahabat 24, Elma expressed how she was often plagued by insecurity, low self-esteem, and lack of confidence in daily interaction with her environments, therefore she asked us of a solution to always be confident.

Confidence is something that will arise when we know who we really are. In Ephesians 2:10, it is stated that “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” If we already know beforehand who we are and what kind of purpose God has intended for us, we would no longer lose our confidence in living. Listening to the guidance and support from Sahabat 24, today Elma is ready to welcome her days with new passion and confidence.
