When it comes to career, our obedience to follow the instructions given to us will determine our prospect and promotion down the road. It is a no brainer that every one of us has been very busy, trying so hard to dedicate our best performance for the companies we work for, in order to please our bosses or superiors. But what if come across an issue like the one Lin faced in this following testimony.

“Hi JC, there’s something I’d like to ask. I work in the finance department of a private company. Should I obey my boss’ order to write a made-up cash report and voucher to include in our tax report? Should I follow my boss’ order because I was hired by him to do a job or should I follow God’s authority and order? This was what Lin, a visitor of Jawaban.com and JC channel, asked on the page. Her post received a good amount of responses from other visitors of Jawaban.com to be supported in prayer together through our prayer-request feature.

“Shalom Lin. I have personally experienced something like that. There was no peace in my heart as I had to carry on through the days with guilt for having written made-up receipts and documents. So I prayed for the guidance of the Holy Spirit and truly searched for what He intended me to do. It was God’s words that made me strong to take the leap of faith to choose what God has instructed me to do (see Colossians 3 and Philippians 4:13). I resigned from the job immediately even when I still had not applied for a new job at the time, and I surrendered myself to His guidance. Praise the Lord, not long after resigning, I got a phone call from another firm I previously worked for and they welcomed me on-board with six times the amount I of salary compared to what I received in the office where I was asked to forge documents and data,” – Anna , visitor of Jawaban.com and viewer of JC Channel.
