Many people think that their lives going well until one day they got some consequences of their deeds, for example, those who smoke. They assume what they are doing is normal until one day that cigarette undermined their lungs.
It also happens to free sex. They feel that it is normal; committing a sexual relationship with those they love. Until one day, they found that whom they love is not their spouse. As a sequence, it brings bitterness in their hearts and other things such as getting pregnant out of marriage, venereal disease, etc.
Sometimes, what we think is normal, is not necessarily true. What we think and do is good, is not necessarily true. That is why it is said in proverb, the wise is cautious in the act. A wise man avoids evil.
Stay away from sin, then we will stay away from ignorance. Away from ignorance means that we draw closer to the truth. Lust is only for a while and brings a prolonged misery. Lust can be fun, but its consequences can snatch happiness.
God's command is so clear and firm. We do not lukewarm, saying yes if it is true, and not if it is untrue. If it is a sin, then stay away from it before we get trapped. If it is a sin, no matter it seems good, it is still poisonous. We will be slowly undermined until we finally gave up and our lives get messy. So, what it is for?
Therefore, if we stand firmly on the Word of God, we believe and do, then we will see what God has promised. His goodness, presence, incredible love, the future that is full of hope, faithfulness, all of them will be with us. Only one thing is needed, do it now and do not delay.
Be careful in the act, do not let us do what we think is right but unfortunately ends death.
