Doing Sabbath is the Solution of 'Burn Out'

Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in plowing time and in harvest thou shalt rest.

Many of us who live in this age, are very difficult to practice the Bible principals for Sabbath days. We maybe would say those things are just valid in old testament only and they are not up-to-date anymore for we practice today and they demand human being to move quickly and not to move slowly.

The main problem is not “can not”, however it more refers to “will not” for stopping or taking a rest. The life-style of our society nowadays is about the achieving to maximality. By commute schedules, variety activities, many duties and double works have already become the part of daily routines.

Therefore, the principals of stopping from every activities and then come into His presence are seldom to be discuss as a “command” but they are more regarded as “suggest” and “option”. They are always hiding from the words of “busy” and “must to be maximal”.

Talking about maximality in productivity, it should be better if we learn from nature and agriculture. Do you know there is a time for soil which is used for cultivate to be taken a rest for recovering its condition, so that those essential elements could help plants to grow until one day its soil could be used to plant again and to produce as well.

It also happens to human, there is time when our power, soul and spirit are in the edge of limit even there is no more “flame” or “burn out”. So that we get situation whereas every things that as if stuck and we get nothing. In that time, we should not take any steps and keep silent in God’s presence.

When we get weary, we could produce nothing. Many people do not understand that work hard is not the ultimate factor to determine a success, but wisdom and revelation which come from God and when we get close with Him would guide us to the victory, breakthrough and multiplication whereas took us to the good impact, such as to our family and people around us.

There are wealth and almighty power when someone could keep silent and calm down in God’s presence.
