Shattered by Drugs

There are so many stories related to the impacts of drugs which shattered many families. Many of them ended up by sorrows but some of them ended up by joy and happiness since there happened miracles and God’s favors. This story is also happened to Mrs. Usdety whose her three children were involved in drugs.
It began when Mrs.Usdety’s children were sitting in kindergarten. After going home from their school, they gathered together in their bedroom directly. Mrs Ustedy got suspicious because there were no noisy and activities heard from inside the bedroom. Surprisingly, when she knocked their room and opened it, she saw that her three children were using drugs.
Growing up, the three of Mrs.Ustedy’s children were becoming rebellions. They liked to ask some money from their mother forcedly. This incident made their mother being angry and emotional. Once, there one situation that could not make her being uncontrolled for her children attitudes. Mrs. Ustedy had ever kicked, hit and even crashed her children’s head to the wall. However, its incident did not make her children repenting; moreover her children threatened Mrs.Ustedy badly. Even they threatened to get out from home.
Once, her three children played-act that they were being held hostage by someone else. They called her mother and asked some money to release them out. Being afraid of its situation, Mrs.Ustedy gave them money. But when it had already been given, her children used it to buy some drugs. That hostage-taking was just a mere scenario in order to keep using drugs.
Mrs.Ustedy had tried many ways to keep their children away from addict. But all of her efforts were just in vain. Even, Dave, her first child got troubled in overdoses which threatened his life. He had ever been found out in a dirty sewer unconsciously and taken out by a pedicab.
He was being laid on a bed and other children helped to get him up as soon as possible. However, he never got up and all of them said that he was dead. At that time, Mrs. Ustedy was very shocked and she could not accept for her son dead.
“There was a power, a peaceful belief that comes over me. While I was holding his body, closing my ear to his chest, I heard nothing. I’ve just said, “God, You had the best plan and I had no idea whether he was alive or dead,” said Mrs.Usdety.
Surprisingly, the miracle happened. Dave was choked and got up. This was a blessing moment,” I was so grateful and praised God. I was really thankful.
Unfortunately, that incident could not make Dave and his other brothers repenting. They kept using drugs. Mrs.Ustedy was really upset and angry even she wanted her loves to them faded away but God always gave her a strength.
“When my heart has already been weary, I had no more power to love, to fight and sacrifice for them. But there is one love and it is Christ’s love which gets into my heart and strengthens me. I realized that it is God’s love. He does not want to let us perished and one of us is my own children.”
One thing that always strengthens me is a surrendering through a prayer. Mrs.Ustedy had prayed for her children for years and all of her prayers were all granted. Her children had stopped totally using drugs. “There is nothing impossible for God. Although the ways were so complicated, hard and so bitter, there is one side that always strengthens me, Lord Jesus.”
