Superbook Outdoor Cinema: Reaching Every Child’s Heart with the Gospel

Good news continues to come from every Superbook ministry region, from every facilitator who works tirelessly to serve churches from village to village, and from churches that open their doors to disciple the next generation of children.
Through 117 Superbook Outdoor Cinema locations held across Indonesia from April to August 2026, 6,438 children were reached with the Good News. Even more encouraging, 4,488 of these children declared Jesus is their Savior.
Outdoor Cinema Reaching Souls
Among these hundreds of this Outdoor Cinema locations, children from outside the church also participated. Praise God! Superbook Outdoor Cinema has reached 265 children from different faith backgrounds, giving many of them their first opportunity to hear Bible stories.
Another good news in August 2026 was when Superbook Outdoor Cinema brought joy to children affected by the Flores earthquake. The children truly enjoyed the experience, as it was their first experience learning Bible stories through Superbook. One 5-year-old child who attended the Outdoor Cinema at an evacuation shelter was even able to retell the story he had watched very well.
An Inspirational Story from Superbook Outdoor Cinema
Nizam was born into a family with a different faith background. Until then, he may never have heard the name of Jesus spoken in his home.
Then one afternoon, a simple invitation changed everything.
Nizam came to Superbook Outdoor Cinema, and he even invited his older brother to join him. When the prayer session began, the two brothers bowed their heads, followed every word sincerely, and received Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
Through one screen, two souls encountered the love of God for the very first time. Yet hundreds more are still waiting for the same moment: to know that they are loved.
This September, 70 Superbook Outdoor Cinema locations are ready to be held. That means 70 new opportunities for 70 stories like Nizam’s.
