Super5 Arrives in North Nias, Ending the Long Wait for Desimawati and Other Kindergarten Teachers

There is a kindergarten teacher in North Nias who has served for 18 years without receiving a salary. She has never complained about the cost of living. For her, what matters most is seeing her students one day grow into successful individuals who become a blessing to many people.
This is the heart of an unsung hero named Desimawati Zega, a Kindergarten teacher at Alberta school. She sees her work as a calling from God.
'God has called me to teach at Alberta Kindergarten for more than 18 years. We have nothing—not even a salary. But we hope that someday, the children who study here will bring about renewal 15 or 20 years from now,” she said.
This same spirit shared by every teacher who attended the Super5 Onsite Training at the North Nias Regency Hall on July 2–3, 2026. Desimawati and 69 other teachers from 36 Kindergarten centers attended Super5 training for the very first time.
Through this training, the teachers were introduced to CBN Indonesia’s Super5 program. They received teacher development materials and training on the Super5 curriculum from the trainer team, followed by an in-depth learning session through practical activities and group work.
The participants' enthusiasm was clearly felt. For many, it was their first time hearing about a curriculum approach rooted in Christian values like Super5.This was the kind of material they had long needed.
“Super5 inspires teachers to teach with enthusiasm, especially here in North Nias, where children greatly need education,” Desimawati shared.
For them, Super5 is more than a teaching method. It is a guide to pass on the love of Christ to every child—not only educating them but also shaping them to become disciples of Christ.
“Through the Super5 curriculum, children can grow into individuals who fear the Lord, become excellent, healthy, and have Christlike character,” shared Mrs. Lily, Principal of Menerangkan Kitab Suci Terang Dunia Kindergarten.
After this onsite training, the teachers returned to their classrooms with renewed passion and prayers of hope that every child may grow well and be prepared to become a generation marked by character and the fear of God.
