The first phase of flood disaster relief in Aceh and North Sumatra has been completed. As of January 2026, CBN’s humanitarian team, through Obor Berkat Indonesia, continues to be present by providing psychosocial support and school kits to children affected by the disaster, together with the Superbook Indonesia team. This is a form of continued disaster response to enable trauma recovery and progressive educational restoration for children.
Aid has reached children in various regions of North Sumatra and Aceh, with the hope that they can rise again from the nightmare of disaster that took everything from them—including school supplies such as books, clothes, shoes, and bags swept away by floodwaters.
This is exactly what Gloria experienced, a young survivor of the floods in Tukka Village, Central Tapanuli. After the floodwaters submerged their entire home, Gloria and her two siblings lost all their school supplies, from uniforms and bags to books. She deeply misses school—the place where she learns and enjoys the company of her friends.

We Are Not Done Yet!
We have delivered the first phase of aid to flood survivors in Aceh and North Sumatra. But the journey is far from over. Thousands of children are still waiting—they long to return to school and yearn to learn in a classroom that is safe and decent.
Like Gloria, many children have lost not only their books and uniforms but also their school buildings, which now lie ruined under layers of mud. Currently, many are forced to study in cramped, makeshift school tents with very limited resources. This situation threatens their enthusiasm for learning and their very future.

This urgent need is what drives us to return. We are committed to building 5 Temporary Schools for 900 children, providing them with a safe and comfortable space to learn.
We will begin constructing 2 temporary schools in mid-February 2026 at:
However, the journey is not finished! We still need support for 3 more temporary schools in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Tenggara, and Central Tapanuli—where hundreds of children are still learning in difficult conditions.
This project will run for six months (February–June 2026). If you feel led to take part, this is your opportunity to sow into the life of one child for only IDR 100,000 per month. Your contribution becomes evidence of God’s love flowing through you and transforming the future of children in Aceh and North Sumatra.
